LSLA is a southern California landscape architecture, planning, and design firm established to provide creative, responsive landscape architectural design and masterplanning services.

Lori Silverman, principal, brings over 35 years experience achieving design and planning excellence for a wide array of public and private projects of historic and cultural significance for civic, institutional, corporate, and residential clients throughout the northeast, California and the western states. She has attained key leadership roles for numerous mixed-use high density multifamily and affordable housing projects, historic university and college campuses, corporate and medical research campuses, civic projects, urban parks and plazas, and projects for municipal, state and federal governmental agencies.

These projects are nationally recognized for design excellence in integrating and interpreting historic, cultural and natural resources and are distinguished for achieving the highest levels of sustainability, preservation and regenerative design focusing on water and energy conservation, accessible planning, and barrier free design.

LSLA provides comprehensive, responsive and efficient design and planning services. We work collaboratively with architects, clients, regulatory agencies, teams of consultants, stakeholders and the community to interpret and illustrate issues and opportunities of multifaceted site programs, into workable and innovative planning and design solutions on time and on budget.

From project inception through design, documentation and delivery, we maintain focus on balancing project and client goals, budgets and schedules, while assuring design integrity. Having extensive, relevant knowledge of materials and technical methods including on–structure systems, we bring attention to detail and provide creative, practical solutions to complex technical and programmatic requirements and site conditions.

We are experienced in providing successful collaboration with clients, interdisciplinary teams of consultants, public agencies, stakeholders and the public, including LEED certified sustainable landscape design projects.   We are supported by a skilled professional staff, selected specifically for their area of expertise for each project. We provide strong communication skills, utilizing the latest technology & management procedures to accomplish assignments quickly and efficiently.
