Located on a ridge in the upper reaches of the Santa Monica mountains, this rustic hunting lodge was built by a former movie studio to entertain guests. It burned to the ground in 1980. The owners lovingly restored the structure for their home using indigenous stone and materials to its original allure. The masterplan was developed for carefully siting a new pool and guest house into to take advantage of the canyon views. Informal gardens of native and Mediterranean plants complete the restoration.
